Announcement: Revision of Article Processing Charges (APC) Effective January 1, 2027

Dear Authors, Reviewers, and Readers,

The Editorial Board of  The Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Medicine is committed to upholding high standards of open-access publishing, rigourous peer-review administration, digital archiving, and worldwide dissemination of scholarly work.

To maintain our operational sustainability, offset rising publishing costs, and continue investing in technical and editorial enhancements, the journal’s Article Processing Charges (APC) will undergo a rate adjustment effective January 1, 2027.

Updated Pricing Structure

  • Manuscripts Submitted On or Before December 31, 2026: Will be processed under the current APC rate of 125,000 IQD (or $100) for a standard 8 pages research. An additional charge of 10,000 IQD (or $10) is applied for each extra page exceeded the standard. There are no charges for rejected articles, submission process, and color figures or illustrations for in print or online.

  • Manuscripts Submitted On or After January 1, 2027: Will be subject to the revised APC rate of [Will be determined soon]. However, The Iraqi J. Vet. Med. has a waiver policy for authors from developing countries classified by the World Bank Country with low income.

Waivers and Exemptions

Our submission policies remain unchanged:

  • Submission Fee: The Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Medicine does not charge any initial submission fees. APCs apply only upon manuscript acceptance.

  • Waiver Policy: We remain committed to supporting research equity. Institutional discounts, geographic exemptions, or fee waivers will continue to be granted according to our standard [https://jcovm.uobaghdad.edu.iq/index.php/Iraqijvm/Charges-and-Waiver].
